Monster universe in the making has been given a name.

Well if you've been keep up with the news just lately in the film industry you would see that it is now official that universal studios are creating a monster universe, whether the rumors are true about it being a  DC Justice league / MARVEL Avengers type film remains to be seen.

From what we know Luke Evan Dracula untold was meant to start the universe but because of an unfortunate box office failure, Dracula untold flop putting a closed open end universe on hold. This was until a few month ago when it was announce that tom cruise would be starring in a new reboot of the mummy.

Most everyone though great yet another reboot film coming, but what we didn't know until now is that the mummy film isnt just a mummy film, it a start to a new monster universe movie as we see from the film trailers Russel Crowe is playing the famous Dr Jekyll Hyde.

Not much is known on the plot of the film yet but its been quite a while since we have see those monsters on the big screen, we've had a few adaptation of Frankenstein monster, Dr jekyll, mummy and invisible man along with many version of Dracula, never really had the merman from the black lagoon on the big screen which will be interesting.

So really the question is what do we expect from this monster universe?  Are we gonna get a league of extraordinary monster type film or a completely different film involving monster vs monster, as in the trailer we hear Dr Jekyll say to caught a monster you must become a monster.

Its been confirmed today that this cinematic universe will be called the dark universe, which the mummy reboot will be the first film in this universe which hits most country cinemas between the 7th and 8th June, will hit USA / UK cinema on the 9th June.

This will all depend on whether the mummy is a hit and make the box office and doesnt fail, im pretty sure most fans are a little pissed off about Luke Evan Dracula which is such an underrated film, that would have been perfect but that Hollywood for you hit or miss
