The Spawn Reboot So What Happening ?

Is this film actually gonna happen?

Ok fan's i know most of us have been waiting for the latest update of what going with the new reboot of 1997 spawn film from franchise / director Todd McFarlane, over the years all we've heard is rumors to whether this film is happen or not, here what we know so far.

Todd Mcfarlane has been working hard on this script for year now and he's on his way to completing which is why we haven't seen any news of production happening, here's the problem! the trouble with this is fan's are now wondering whether this is just not happening and starting to give up on it or lose interest which im sure most of you would agree.

This is bad for the film getting off the starting mark as he need to get as must hype as he can if this film want to succeeded past it original film, the budget for the 1997 movie was $40,00,00 which only made total $87,840,042 world wide.

So the big question is what type of budget will this film have? Now from recent interviews with Todd he has said the budget with be lower than then the 1997 film, but accord to news their will be a entire recasting of the film from its original starring Michael Jai White (spawn) and John Leguziamo (clown/violator).

Despite the original film modest box office success it failed to capture the attention of critics, which lets be honest Hollywood critics are so out of touch with today film's. But it this knock back that could be the very reason for the eighteen years of various stages of pre-production we keep hearing about, but accord to the latest words from the comic book creator the project may finally be slated for production sooner rather than later.

In 2014 from you tube we got a awesome short film made by Michael Paris with Johanna Gent,Tom Maurice,Gregory Paris and J3.0 (Voice) Music by James BKS Edjouma.

  Synopsis
SPAWN : THE RECALL is the story of a former witch and her son, who try to live a normal life away from the darkness.
While they're shopping in a supermarket, the child suddenly disappears.
She starts looking for him, freaked out knowing evil forces are still lurking.
A security guard comes to her help but while they are checking on the surveillance cameras, something happens.
She can sense it, they are here...

Which you have to admit is pretty awesome the way this short film has been done, if Todd could do a film in this simalur fashion or even close dam this film will be a success.

What we know so far from the new reboot is that Todd is complete changing the tone of the film from less comic book to more horror style spawn which should of been in the first place. I personally feel even though the comic book style film of 1997 is a guilty pleasure for me, i do believe the horror style film will work for the film.

The new design of the spawn figure actually looks more bad ass and frighting, but is this actually what spawn will look like in the new film?  let hope so. As the design is more nightmarish give spawn this real look of a creature from hell, As most of us know the story of spawn Al Simmons was reborn from hell as a general for hell army but manged to retain most of his humanity but tortured by the past he once had.

looking at this new design what do you think bad ass or do you think the original design is better?

Do you think this is what the new spawn will look like in the new reboot film?

But the question is this film still happening? Accord to recent interviews with Todd when asked if the film is still happening they got a reply "The simple answer is yes" so there is a glimmer of hope that this spawn film is happening. But it not gonna be this comic book style nor is it gonna be focused on the character of spawn, which might seem a little off putting as to why would you have a spawn film that not focus on spawn you wonder.

Well the good news is if this film is truly happen sometime in the near future Todd has give a sneak brief look at what this film will be about, the movie itself he mention this film to be very dark frighten and scary which will be focus on the "criminals","crime lord", drug dealer", "murders" point of view while you have the detectives Sam and twitch in the middle trying to solves certain things.

As for spawn he will be this ghost or specter in shadow moving like a sinister figure in the dark like a boggie man to the criminals, kind of like batman and the punisher roled into a bass ass hell spawn feed off the bad guys soul's protecting the homeless or would be victims of these crimal elements.

Which is a good idea because you dont need to have spawn as a hero, because technically spawn is no hero, as his human side is in conflict with his hell side so this will work for the character which also does away with having to have a main villain battle in the film.

As that part can be left for a sequel which Todd can bring spawn forward a bit more on screen and get more hell spawn involved maybe, whats your thoughts on this ? Do you think this spawn reboot will work by just having spawn taking out criminals making it more horror style spawn or do you think this film need a main antagonist to fight?

One thing is certain if this film does actually happen it will be a refreshing comic book movie from a franchise that not associated with marvel or DC universe , Although it a long way before we get more news this might happen for now i would just rest at the hope it could and not be to over hype until it start being put in to film production.

                                              Batman Left KG-Beast to die

Sure, the KGBeast didn't die (somehow) and got out, but there is little mistaking that Batman left the villain to die in Batman #420. After battling to a standstill, Batman walls the assassin in an underground vault and informs the police that they don't have to worry about the KGBeast any longer. Whoa, that is grim... even for Batman

                              Superman killed Doomsday

Phoenix Destroys a Whole Planet
Really, that was the whole crux of the Dark Phoenix Saga, wasn't it? Completely in control (and out of control) of the Phoenix, Jean Grey travels to the depths of the Universe and unleashes the full power of the Phoenix force on a solar system. That's why the Shi'ar tracked to her down in an attempt to bring her to justice.

Barry Allen snapped Zooms neck

Moon Knights cuts off Bushman's Face

                                 Batman shoots Darkseid

Even Batman has to break the rules sometimes. In Final Crisis #6, Batman uses the very bullet designed by Darkseid to kill the other New Gods on the evil god himself, blowing a whole in the evil ruler's chest.

Star Boy Blows Away Kenz Nuhor

Adventure Comics #342 saw Star Boy killing Dream Girl's ex boyfriend Kenz Nuhor in self defense. Granted, Nuhor was kind of asking for it. The real bummer is that Star Boy violated the Legion's 'no killing' rule and was expelled from the group.

Movie's we've seen where the actors/actress actually had real sex

This is a very controversial subject in movie's that have alot of love making scenes that can be awkward in front of your parents when your watching a film with them , yes we've all been there in these moments. But did you know that most of these love making sex scene were actually real ! i know shocking right?

Here is the list of films that had real sex scene , yes i mean real sex that wasn't simulated.

Caligula 1979   Film plot Details the graphic and shocking, yet undeniably tragic story of Rome's most infamous Caesar, Gaius Germanicus Caligula

Real sex scene:
This 1970s film is allegedly the first time well-known actors starred in a movie that had scandalous, pornographic scenes. The scenes with oral sex, penetration and ejaculation were all real. Because it was so racy, the movie wasn’t well received by most critics.

Love 2015  Film plot :Murphy is an American living in Paris who enters a highly sexually and emotionally charged relationship with the unstable Electra. Unaware of the effect it will have on their relationship, they invite their pretty neighbor into their bed.

Real sex scene:
This movie is nothing short of pornographic. Director Gaspar Noé’s new film, is known for being released in 3-D.

Reviewer Ignatiy Vishnevetsky wrote “There’s a difference between being naked before an audience and showing them your d*ck, and Noé does the latter—very literally, in close-up and 3-D.”

The Brown Bunny 2003  Film plot  : Professional motorcycle racer Bud Clay heads from New Hampshire to California to race again. Along the way he meets various needy women who provide him with the cure to his own loneliness, but only a certain woman from his past will truly satisfy him.

Real sex scene:
Chloë Sevigny’s character performed oral sex on real-life boyfriend Vincent Gallo, which caused an uproar when it was released. She later told Playboy that she experienced “a lot of emotions [about the scene]. I’ll probably have to go to therapy at some point.” Classic Chloë

Nymphomaniac 2013   Film plot : A self-diagnosed nymphomaniac recounts her erotic experiences to the man who saved her after a beating

Real sex scene:
Lars Von Trier is known for producing films using unsimulated sex scenes, and “Nymphomaniac” was no different. While the stars are having intercourse, the director used porn or sex doubles for the ejaculation shots

Sweet Sweetback’s Badasssss Song  1971  Film plot : After saving a Black Panther from some racist cops, a black male prostitute goes on the run from "the man" with the help of the ghetto community and some disillusioned Hells Angels

Real sex scene:
Only decades after the premiere of the film did we learn that Melvin Van Peebles sex scene was real… and that he contracted gonorrhea during filming. Gross. But, on a weirdly bright side, he was able to receive workers compensation

Little Ashes 2008  Film plot : About the young life and loves of artist Salvador Dalí, filmmaker Luis Buñuel and writer Federico García Lorca.

Real sex scene:
Robert Pattinson’s film Little Ashes has a scene where he admits he was really masturbating because faking it “just doesn’t work.”

9 Songs 2004  Film plot : In London, England, love blooms between an American college student, named Lisa, and a British glaciologist, named Matt, where over the next few months in between attending rock concerts, the two lovers have intense sexual encounters.

Real sex scene:
Unfortunately, 9 Songs has the reputation of having one of the worst sex scenes in cinematic history. But hey, everyone knows watching real life sex isn’t as attractive as porn and movies lead us to believe.

Pink Flamingos 1972  Film plot : Notorious Baltimore criminal and underground figure Divine goes up against a sleazy married couple who make a passionate attempt to humiliate her and seize her tabloid-given title as "The Filthiest Person Alive".

Real sex scene:
John Waters’ cult classic bent, broke and re-purposed many countless taboos. In the movie, the legendary drag queen, Divine, gives un-simulated oral sex to her son (unrelated in real life of course). Critic Robert Ebert said, “Pink Flamingos appeals to that part of our psyches in which we are horny teenagers at the county fair with fresh dollar bills in our pockets, and a desire to see the geek show with a bunch of buddies, so that we can brag about it at school on Monday.”

All About Anna 2005 Film plot : Anna is a modern, independent single girl, focused on her job and wary of getting caught in romantic relationships. Her life is all about fun. Strangers without strings. No commitment, no casualties. She has just found a new apartment, and is tempted to let her latest boyfriend, Frank, move in with her. Instead, she finds a tenant: The flamboyant, fun-loving Camilla, who shares Anna's views on love and commitment. But then an old boyfriend happens to knock on her door: Johan, the very man who five years previously broke Anna's heart. Anna is tempted. It's not good. More than ever, she needs to get back on the merry-go-round and move on. Fortunately, she receives an offer to design costumes for a theater in Paris. As far away from romantic temptation as possible -- right

Real sex scene:
This Danish film was advertised as a romantic comedy for women but had a lot of criticisms when the movie came out due to its plethora of sexy scenes. Director Jessica Nilsson defended the film by saying “without the sex scenes, the film’s drama would fall apart.”

In the Realm of the Senses  1976  Film plot: A passionate telling of the story of Sada Abe, a woman whose affair with her master led to a sexual obsession which then came to a violent end.

Real sex scene:
Thankfully, only the sex scenes were real in this gruesome 1970s movie. One review said, “Realm of the Senses is a film like no other, a magical fusion of art and pornography that somehow renders debates about the distinction between those two categories boringly beside the point. Asking if this film is porn is like asking if prehistoric cave paintings showing men with erections are porn. They’re porn, they’re art, they’re elemental and beautiful; it doesn’t matter.”

Lie With Me 2005 Film Plot : An outgoing, sexually aggressive young woman meets and begins a torrid affair with an equally aggressive young man in which their affair begins to bring a strain on their personal lives.

Real sex scene:
This was one of those movies where the sex looked too real not to be real. Actress Lauren Lee Smith commented saying, “It’s controversial, but it’s also something everyone will understand. It’s about a woman who is not so comfortable with the emotional side of relationships, but is so good with the physical, sexual side. Taking the role wasn’t about the ‘naked chick’ quality – it’s about showing strong, sexual women.”

Intimacy 2001 Film Plot : A failed London musician meets once a week with a woman for a series of intense sexual encounters to get away from the realities of life. But when he begins inquiring about her, it puts their relationship at risk

Real sex scene:
Mark Rylance and Kerry Fox star in this movie about two strangers who engage in weekly anonymous sex and gradually develop feelings for each other. Fox says she has no regrets about performing the sex scenes, and claims the film as “one of her finest ever.”

Wetlands 2013 Film plot : The adventures of an eccentric girl who has strange attitudes towards hygiene and sexuality longs for the reunion of her divorced parents.

Sex scene:
IMDB describes this movie as “the adventures of an eccentric girl who has strange attitudes towards hygiene and sexuality longs for the reunion of her divorced parents”… but what they fail to mention is the many weird sex scenes — like a group of men masturbating onto an entire pizza.

Stranger By The Lake 2013 film plot: Summertime. A cruising spot for men, tucked away on the shores of a lake. Franck falls in love with Michel, an attractive, potent and lethally dangerous man. Franck knows this but wants to live out his passion anyway.

Sex scene:
Roger Ebert describes Stranger by the Lake as, “the sexiest and most elegant thriller in years, and it’s a damn shame it stands so little chance of traveling beyond the niche of a ‘gay film’ it will probably get squeezed into.” The film gets extremely up-front and personal with genital close-ups and explicit scenes.

O Fantasma 2000 film plot: Young and handsome Sergio works the night shift as a trash collector in Lisbon, Portugal. He can't force himself to connect with his pretty female co-worker Fatima, who displays an avid interest in him, so instead Sergio roams the city with the trash company's pet dog. Eventually Sergio becomes fascinated with a sleek motorcycle, and then also its owner, João - a young man totally indifferent to Sergio. The frustrated trash collector's surfacing sexual desires unleash his darkest impulses, sending him down a dangerous path of violence, depravity and degradation

Real sex scene:
The name of the movie roughly translates to “The Ghost” and is about a lonely garbage collector with a healthy sex life. O Fantasma won best feature film in the New York Lesbian & Gay Film Festival and the Entrevues Film Festival.

The Best films of 2016

As 2016 has now come to a close i think it time to give my best film's of 2016 , so here is the list of movies i think were the best in 2016.
